Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s Hatch the Biggest Chicken in Fast FoodNew Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich features premium five-ounce chicken breast fillet served on a Fresh Baked Bun
CARPINTERIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bow down to the Big Chicken. Today Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s introduce the biggest chicken sandwich among all major fast food chains. Featuring a premium five-ounce chicken breast fillet seasoned in Southern spices, breaded and served on a Fresh Baked Bun with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, the Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich is available now at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. A bacon and Swiss version of the Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich is also available.
“Over the years, fast food chains have tried putting a variety of toppings on chicken sandwiches but the key is that you have to start with a really good – and a really good sized – chicken breast fillet. If you do that, you don’t need a lot of other stuff,” said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “The new Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich from Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s features a five-ounce premium chicken breast fillet, the largest chicken breast fillet available on a sandwich by any major fast food chain, dusted with Southern spices. We serve it hot and crispy with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on one of our signature Fresh Baked Buns that we bake fresh inside our restaurants each day. The result is a delicious, juicy chicken breast sandwich that not only tastes great, but it truly lives up to the name of Big Chicken Fillet.”
In addition to the Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich, the chains also introduce the Bacon Swiss Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich featuring the premium five-ounce breaded chicken breast fillet with two strips of crispy bacon, Swiss cheese and creamy ranch dressing or mayonnaise, served on a Fresh Baked Bun with lettuce and tomato.
The Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich is available for $3.99 and may also be ordered in a combo meal with fries and a drink for $6.49. The Bacon Swiss Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich is available for $4.99 and in a combo meal for $7.49. Prices may vary by location.
The Big Chicken Fillet Sandwich launch will be supported by advertising created by Los Angeles- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny. The campaign kicks off Monday with the premiere of the first ad titled “Go Big on Flavor” starring “American Daredevils” TV star and stuntman Bryan Spangler, who proves he’s no big chicken, he just likes to eat them. A second ad, “Everybody Wants Some,” will premiere late May and follows a roving pack of roosters on a mission to find the biggest chicken breasts in town, at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
